the rain, it bites. nibbles at my goosebumps. bees, a swarm, landing, no crashing, down with stingers sharp BUT NOOO, it's just the raindrops. it's a cold and lonely drive, blinded by the blurry brakes of red flashes and the occasional yelp from a smart car. for yes, they're smart because they're small.
it's 3 here. my eyes are so upset, they've already canceled their RSVP for the morning. the firey cracks streak over the white, a splintering mirror...slowly and surely crashing.
one day soon i will be a year older. a kid lesser. and i really kind of hate that.
for now i will disappear into the dreams, where i so pathetically belong. goodnight! and let's hope, tomorrow is a day that i will take. and be like robin williams. and some other dead poets.

He was a frumpy man, skinny like cracks, yet careless like the Quacks hollering down on the street. It hadn't been long since the maiden voyage, the very same that brought him to the small cell of a unapologetically tiny pantry in Manhattan. Clothes, cans, and cigarettes--the only thing decorating the painted brick walls and splintered knockoff hardwood. The landlord, a bustly woman of foreign time and tongue, warned him on his first day, "The Roaches are back." To him, this man, our hero, could only see the goodness in company.
It was winter inside, but he liked it that way. If only flurries would precipitate from the ceiling clouds, then he'd be complete. The city's warmth in a miserable summer did all it could to invade through the windows. He shielded up aluminum foil to gag the screaming sunshine, and dwelled in the darkness.
Moving from home, on a whim, or a dare he would later exaggerate. He wanted to go out, to taste Manhattan's skin, but he couldn't bring himself to escape. In the stillness space, he scribbles his morning musings in his journal. Big black strokes devour erroneous messages, and after a quick scan, he tosses the booklet. 2 days, it's been. 2 days in New York City, and he's already losing his mind, he suspects.
Johnny Webb (that's him) came from a small upbringing, from an even smaller farmtown. Being the only boy in a home ruled by a stern, Victorian mother (Her name was actually Victoria, but after realizing the bougie air of introduction in such farmy confines, she changed it to a more suiting Vicky--and for a short, drug-induced period in the 80s, Tori). Johnny's father had disappeared when he was but six. It's the earliest memory of his childhood, which was far more wrist-cutter than typical child memories like petting a balding doggie's back (which was mine). He liked to imagine his father's funeral, and more so an actual reason for abandonment.

Days went by, we had a great celebration back in Tetop, where we honored our fallen with song and dance. Domino! Well, much to his happiness, was restored his feet. But not the hooves, for now they were the wooden shoes! (Although, they’re practically the same thing as hooves). Still, he felt human!
There was great celebration weeks later as well. Domino and Katerose had a spectacular wedding celebration, and it wouldn’t be long before my Queen took up a mate in Sethicus. All this love and joy was still shrouded with sorrow for our friends were still dead. But in Tetop, of all places, we just had to laugh.
I remained in the peaceful kingdom for a great long time. I watched the Royals grow old. I watched my Queen abandon her nobility and take up a peaceful life on a farm outside the kingdom. I watched as people recounted the tales, and how some would praise the newest blinking star (who we thought to be Laurp)! I watched all of this happiness with an excited eye. For this, my friends, was quite the event to have lived through.
The North Palace (from what I’m told) remained abandoned for years. Lifeless, shallow. Eventually, the North Natives (Davidio’s tribe) took up the place for they still believed the land to be theirs.
Queen Carmiella remained statued in the ice, in that tree. Gabriella freed our frozen troops (who hadn’t been smashed!), and so all that remained on the Snow Sand fields was the former Queen.
People would walk by--make it something of an attraction. But most feared it, for they believed one look open the frozen figure (whose sword still stabbed through her) would curse them for the year.
I went back a couple times. It doesn’t get any easier.
Oh, and what of KiKeck? Well, when we found her facedown, we approached. Katerose leaned down, being the hospitable soul she was. But then! KiKeck slurred a “You, Bitch!” and swung a dagger. Of course it missed dramatically, and Katerose brought her sword down on her. It was a rare moment of rage for the Tetop Queen, yet understandable.
I’m now in my late age for I have somehow held on to this life. I’ve seen many generations tell the tale of the Sister-Queens, and each time it becomes more and more fabricated. That is why I have decided to do this. So that the true story of what actually happened would come to be known. I’m finishing out my days in the far West, where the Sun lives.
Already, I miss my friends. My Great Queen and all those of Tetop, and of course, the Rebecca.
One day soon, I hope to see them again.

Queen Katerose somehow kept a smile throughout the battle, and she turned beaming (really) and saw her brother there. Her face dropped, and she charged. Domino screamed after her, and for the most dramatic effect, picture this in slowmotion.
McCullot opened his eyes and speared his sword once again in the chest of the Tetop King. He turned to face the Queen with her hooved guardian and smiled. Mact dropped to the snow lifeless. Katerose screamed with tears already streaming, making the glitter a smudged mess on her face. Domino held her back, for he knew it would not end well, and the constant pursuit of North attackers forced them back to battle.
Up in the sky, Queen Gabriella (with the amazing help of Clint) shot down the last of the crows. She turned and there! The massive Crow-Queen flew with much force, right for her.
“What have you become, sister!?” Queen Gabriella shouted (yes, it was quite audible from down below). Carmiella said nothing, but swiped at her. Both missed constantly, for it was well-matched standoff.
Just then, though! The bird morphed into her human form! Yes, Queen Carmiella floated there in all her shiny glory with a smirk that could truly be haunting. Gabriella witnessed what her sister had become, and nearly began to cry. Carmiella said nothing. And for a second, it was a peaceful silence up there...the only sound the clanking and clashing of the battle beneath them.
“Your betrayal, Sister, is much offensive, and therefore, punishable by only death,” Queen Carmiella hissed. Gabriella targeted her staff blast suddenly, and it nearly missed her sister. It was certainly a close call. Queen Carmiella lost her smirk and with eyes widened, she extended her hands out and shot a quick spark from the tips.
Suddenly!! Clint went berserk. He flapped away chaotically, as Gabriella gripped to keep on. His wings suddenly began to freeze! And then, finally, the ice began to take over his entire body. Gabriella quickly whispered into his ear, but there was nothing that could cure such a curse. The heavy ice steed soon plummeted to the ground, Gabriella still on him!
It looked like a white star falling, as he crashed into the Earth! There was a white light, very bright, that was again distracting. I lost my breath, thinking my Queen dead!
Just as I tried to rush over, I saw Katerose escape Dom’s arms and charge at McCullot! She swiped at him, but he heard her approach and blocked it. Now, with both of his swords intact, he swung and clanked against her chunky sword. Domino trotted over and swung at him too. Two against one, each one battling one of McCullot’s swift swords.
He kicked Queen Katerose to the ground, and elbowed Dom to the side. With one quick movement, McCullot’s blade sliced right down on Domino’s hooves!! He screamed so loud, that I nearly lost my life for I turned mid-fight. Katerose dropped her sword and raced to him. She held him up, and began to cry.
“Please, I beg you.” she mustered at the persistent attacker. McCullot raised his swords, and just on the brink of dealing some death, there was a great shout from behind (on the West side, where a great many snow mounds rested).
“Mothhhhaaaaa Fucccckkkkassss!” Laurp screamed! She had a sword, and a Golden Viking Helmet on her straightened black hair.
McCullot turned and snickered at the lone warrior. Just then! A small army of abused dolls marched behind Laurp!
“Attack!” she shouted and led the dolls down the hill. Don’t under-estimate such violated toys. They’re pissed as hell! Why they aided Laurp is still a surprise to me, yet I’m quite thankful. The force never seemed to stop charging down the snow hills.
McCullot sliced the first batch like pesky insects, but soon, they overtook him (for there was many-many of those things), and before you knew it, the vicious dolls brought him down. Nothing could be seen beneath the fidgeting pile. Then, a scream of death! Laurp just stood there, leaning on her sword with a great smile.
The dolls parted to reveal McCullot’s body in pieces! I still get ill recalling such graphicness.
Queen Carmiella heard the cry instantly, for at that time she had landed beside her sister. She flew over quickly. Saw her lover there, broken and ripped. She went ballistic. She stared deeply at the dolls (some were stupid enough to attack!) and with one gaze, they all froze dead in their places. Laurp started to laugh, wildy, and quite maddening. Carmiella turned to her, and in a split second was before her in a flash of movement. Her face began to tremble, to shake as she gripped Laurp’s shoulders. Laurp didn’t even fight! With one sudden jerk, Laurp was fired straight into the sky! She missiled up like a comet, and just before she left our world for that of the Stars, we heard her shout, “Cheeeeeaaahhh Petttttsss!” And there was a sudden blast as she disappeared above us.
Gabriella looked up to the blast in the sky. She was pinned beneath Clint’s frozen body. Her eyes flickered and she let out a great breath. Her staff was split, and much damage had been done to her body. She forced herself free, very slowly, for this whole moment was surely a haze. She petted Clint’s face, and suddenly a tiny crack snipped on his head, then like a current, the cracks slithered all over his body until BOOM, the horse was no more but pieces of shattered ice. Gabriella wept, but wiped her tears away. She pulled herself up, gathered her now half-staff and looked at the damage on the battlefield. There was still much fighting. She looked just down, beside her pieces and saw Davidio there. Her head dropped. She had to finish this, it was certain in that moment.
The lone Bridge Troll continued his destruction until he reached the carriage housing those bombs! KiKeck was slipping in and out of conscious (for surely, she was wasted!), and just before the Troll made it to her, she collapsed into the snowground, facedown, I should add. He lifted the carriage and tossed it far, far away! Thankfully, for those bombs did wipe out a lot of our force! I turned back to where Queen Carmiella was now collapsed, with our back to us. She had dropped to the ground, and ice tears had snuck from her eyes.
Much of the North forces were slowly being overtaken. And the remaining stragglers of the Goldens and Natives approached the awaiting Queen. Sethicus rushed over, certainly torn from the war. He saw Mact there, his friend. Saw the damage done onto Domino. Saw all the death. He rushed forward.
“Fight me!” he screamed, and pulled off his helmet! Queen Carmiella slowly stood, still with her back to us. She pulled off her black cloak to reveal that shiny ice armor. That skinny sword of ice was at her side. She pulled it up, and turned with it pointing.
“You? You challenge me?” she laughed, no cackled, to herself.
And with that, she purged her sword into the snow, and then! Soaked through the white floor was the snakey colors of Blue and Yellow slithering for him. We had not seen such magic before, and knew not how to react. Suddenly, the colors touched his boot, and up they trailed his body, paralyzing him. As the colors licked and licked, ice followed behind, until suddenly the general was nothing but an iced board game piece. His mighty sword ready to strike would do nothing now. Carmiella snatched her sword and approached slowly, grinning the whole time.
She was now face to face with him (and all we could do was watch, as cowardly as that sounds, for we knew there was nothing that could defeat her). And just as she reared back her blade, there was a shout!
“Sister!” Gabriella was there, in her torn red gown, and her staff too!
Carmiella hesitated. “Oh, so you do survive. What a blessing, truly, for I want to see the life ooze out of your eyes.”
And with that, Gabriella outstretched her staff and shot a fire light at her. And in that instance, Carmiella mirrored the attack, and there were lasers of ice and fire eating each other.
“You are foolish, my sister, quite foolish” Carmiella said and quickly closed her eyes.
Gabriella was holding on, for like I mentioned before, she was extremely weakened from the fall. She squint her eyes and mustered up her strength. But then, just beside here was Kyok! The merman, her first love! He outstretched his hand to her! Carmeilla had created the distraction (for it was certainly easy for her to do), and it was working! Her ice beam was devouring the flames, inching closer and closer to Gabriella!
But then, just then, a lone Rebecca charged from behind the Queen! He bit into Carmellia’s leg! She screamed in pain and jerked down, and just then, Kyok evaporated, and Gabriella turned back. She screamed and shot with all her might, the most powerful fire surge! It swallowed the ice until BOOM it shot the evil Queen against a nearby tree trunk. She was pinned against the icy bark, unable to move. She gasped for breath as we approached. Gabriella led the way, worn and torn from the bloody battle.
Carmiella was dying, it was certain. Her powers had been outmatched. She outstretched her hand, her porcelain hand to her sister. Gabriella picked up the ice sword, and said nothing before penetrating the blade through Carmiella’s body. There was a great trembling of the land, much like today’s quakes, and suddenly, the Great Evil Queen of the North was a figure of ice, embedded in a lonely, black tree.
Our Goldens (what remained of them) cheered and hollered, for the North was finally defeated. Still, much sadness had invaded our hearts. And Gabriella was affected most.
She returned to our awaiting faces. And saw Sethicus there, frozen. She hung her head, the tears flowing. What a damaging day. She approached him and all went silent. She placed her hands on his face, and closed her eyes. Slowly, the ice melted. And it melted. And melted until there, he was alive! How Hollywood for them to kiss (for they did—and everyone cheered!). Yet, finally. After much loss, there seemed to be something to be happy about. The Evil Queen was no more. Peace, or something like that, had been restored.
McCullot opened his eyes and speared his sword once again in the chest of the Tetop King. He turned to face the Queen with her hooved guardian and smiled. Mact dropped to the snow lifeless. Katerose screamed with tears already streaming, making the glitter a smudged mess on her face. A full North attack followed, and we took down all in our path. Davidio slung those arrows so quickly, his movements looked almost a blur! And Katerose’s blade did in fact work! A unit of deranged men, all cloaked in black, charged! She simply held up the glitter guard, and they stopped, staring in a hypnotic trance. Domino charged over to the derailed attackers and crashed into them like bowling pins. His hooves did the rest, and the whole thing looked like one of his signature dances. He hooved the men into a bloody mess, and the red sputtered about the snow like one of those more modern contractions that people use to water their yards.
Still, our forces were taking much a blow. So much, that a sudden cry alerted all of us on the ground! Those birds were falling from the sky like great balls of fire. KiKeck’s ice bombs continued to strobe a light and then freeze all in its path. And don’t think the North Soldiers passed with ease on our statued men—no, oh no, they punched them to pieces. But yes, the cry! We looked over and saw Davidio on the ground! He clutched his stomach while his life spilled from between his fingers. Whoever could, for we were under constant attack, rushed over. I was one of them, as was Mact who batted the North Guard responsible for Davidio’s blow.
There, just in the distance, was those glowing lights. The fireflies! They swarmed closer and closer, like a massive red cloud. Queen Carmiella, that black bitch of crow, eyed them approaching on her pursuit of her sister (who still had not realized she was being targeted). She stopped and extended her beak to an abnormal opening and Cawwwwwwed so mighty, a piercing blue light shot out! Right for the firefly aide. The blast hit them all, and very quickly the red glowing lights all turned to flakes of snow and gently dropped on the tops of our heads. When we returned to our fallen mate, his eyes were cold. And there was nothing for us to do besides fight, for another force flank pursued.
More and more crows sprang from the corners of the world, and descended upon our Sky Queen Gabriella. She dodged and shot, and honestly went unchallenged by the mere birds (although they were quite constant in their attempts). OH, I cannot forget to mention Clint! What a wonder that horse was, for just like his Queen’s staff, he spit out a burst of flames from his mouth! Like the Island Dragons! Queen Carmiella remained in the sky, watching only watching. She would want a fair battle with her sister, and couldn’t swoop in at that moment.
On the ground, I turned to face McCullot (who had just slashed down some Goldens). Our eyes met up, his face soaked in the blood of our allies. With my flame sword up (and heating my bony hands), I raced over to him. He blocked my strikes with much ease. And it wasn’t long before he snuck in a slice on my arm. I dropped my sword, and it immediately shrank to its knife size. McCullot kicked me in my chest, and I stumbled to the ground. He approached. This was it, I thought. My time finished. At least I wouldn’t be subjected to the Queen’s wrath! I mustered up my strength to stand, but he knocked me to my knees, and held up both his blades against my neck, crossed. I guess decapitation would be a way to go. Just as he was about to end me, Mact shouted and knocked into McCullot!
McCullot and Mact dueled off in a clanking of the blades. I gripped my arm, swiped up my blade (which thankfully regrew), and attacked those still charging. BOOMMMMMMMM. The Bridge Trolls had finally made an appearance and mustered up some speed. They nearly took out our own forces (for they had the worst vision), but rushed past us to where KiKeck’s carriage was. Being a Troll (especially one with Bridge Duty) is nothing glamorous. They’re incredibly droll characters, and so it was such a blow when one of them charged straight into avalanching ice ball. He froze instantly in his place! Enraged, his brother raised his club and batted away the approaching grenades. It was only later that we realized the magic of the balls could only affect its victims when they touched flesh. Such a massive club did clobber those balls a great distance away (some bombed the North troops!).
McCullot and Mact still went at it. A fair match, sure, for the most part. Mact had the upper hand and managed to knock loose one of McCullot’s twin blades. Just as I turned to see, an arrow from the North shot so fiercely it bit into Mact’s thigh (right in the gap of his armor!). Mact grimaced in pain and reached for his wound. McCullot wasted no time and with a dramatic spin move, he shoved his sword straight through the golden armor, and straight through Mact’s chest. He sank to his knees, spitting up blood. McCullot approached and pulled off Mact’s crown and helmet. Mact remained wincing, still oozing up blood. McCullot placed the golden crown on top of his own head and quickly shut his eyes.

The snow-sand fields were silent. Deserted, for certainly the Whispering Winds had warned inhabitants of the battle. It was, in fact, the same winds that alerted the Native tribes! The Tetop Force was joined by more and more Natives, until they nearly matched the Goldens. Clint, of course, morphed into the Sand comfortably this time, as we sifted through the swallowing grains. There, the borderline we had finally reached. The Sand we stood, the sun relaxing our fearful bodies, and waited. There, just in the sky, a unit of black dots circling the snow. Their cries gave them away – the Crows!
Queen Katerose, as well as her brother, turned to their armies, to us. Katerose whipped out her weapon – a slob sword made of mystifying gold. It had been melted and mixed with her glitter, and therefore a mesmerizing blade. All who looked at it felt entranced, for surely that was the point, and it would work itself dutifully against our enemies. Mact’s golden helmet nearly masked his entire face, yet the crown symbolized his status. He raised his skinny sword of gold, and shouted, “My friends, my great friends! Think not of death or injury, yet of the sun. Of the warmth you feel in this moment, and the warmth you will feel with this victory. I love you all!” I busted up laughing, which was surely insulting initially, but I could not keep myself steady with such dramatic motivation. Soon, we all began to laugh, even the Natives who hardly smiled for it was myth that smiles welcomed disease (who knows!?). Anyways, we all started laughing so boldly, it was just as powerful as a battlecry. Sethicus and Gabriella quickly exchanged a grinning glance, and he rode up beside her. They shared a quick, quite public, kiss, and Clint was not happy about it, let’s just say. He huffed like an assho.
The sounds of trumpets, or some warning horn, scattered our thoughts. For there, just at the top of the snow mound, was the beginning of the black North. Like small dots they swarmed and swarmed until it was an overgrown shadow in the land. There, the North waited in the snow, us in the sand. Suddenly, our laughter vanished. Gabreilla parted from Sethicus and turned. She could see her sister before anyone else. And oh, how much had changed! The Twins turned back to face their opponents as my Red Queen gifted me my flame sword, as well as Davidio’s flaming arrows. “CHARGE!” the twins cried together, and with that, we began, slowly and ever-so-building, to charge.
Queen Carmiella snorted at the charging army, and swiftly turned to her side. “Ride fast, my Love. Kill all you can!” Mccullolt nodded and took off! He led the WHITE RIDERS to the attack, but of course the velocity of his horse speared him down the slope much quicker than the others. Instead of a full wall of attack, Queen Carmiella directed first her right side forces, then her left, and then the middle (which is where she was centered) would charge.
The Left was under KiKeck and her carriage, which at the time was such a ridiculous mystery.
The rest is very hard for me to explain, for not only is it damaging to recount on, it was so quick and so clustered, I could only remember bits of it.
In our sudden charge, Clint suddenly blasted into a loud red! Much to the surprise of everyone, for those who knew of Clint’s powers assumed he’d return to his original ice. Anyways, when our forces plummeted into the right flank where Mccullot led, it was a blur! A clash so loud and mighty, I nearly lost control of my Rebecca.
The White Riders (for now, the CAPS is not needed) were a sudden failure. The supposed “unbreakable” ice spell was not properly designed, and so with one surge of blue flame from Queen Gabriella’s staff, the entirety of McCullot’s aides vanquished to pouring water. The Natives have always been seriously thirsty for some blood, and so raced in front of the others. Circling McCullot! Watching, and chirping. We stopped, all of us, after finishing up some drifting opponents. Suddenly, McCullot dismounted and all went silent. The only sound was the discomfort of the horses (for it was too cold for them, yes—they’re quite the divas). McCullot pulled back his hood, and parted his cloak to reveal two, yes, two blades: both of shiny white steel. The Natives slowly approached, the rest of us content with playing audience for this sure execution. They were still mounted, and there had to be forty or so of them surrounding him. They drew back their arrows licked by the poison plants, and aimed. Then! A great cry from above! Just as we turned to the sky, those giant crows swooped down and crashed into the Natives! Some gripped them with their razor talons and lifted them to the sky, dropping them to their deaths from great heights. Others slashed them dead with one swipe! Within seconds, the Great Crows had destroyed the fencing Natives. Other tribes, desperate to help their comrades, sprinted whilst throwing their spears at McCullot. They missed of course, but he didn’t. Strike, slice. Handfuls went down, with fresh blood soaking the snow and his pale face.
We heard the chilling laughter thunder from Queen Carmiellia followed by a hasty horn. The Left Flank was descending the Hill.
“We must attack now! Rebecca, Go!” Katerose screamed! The Natives focused on redemption for those slaughtered by the Crows, and wasted their arrows on the fleeting flock.
KiKeck wheeled the carriage, and suddenly, the top of it was pulled back oddly. And there standing inside were all these clear balls. Men dressed in black cloth teamed together to lift these things (for they were filled with clear heavy liquid) and dropped them to the snow! They rolled into our charging forces, and just then, when one knocked into a small unit of soldiers, there was a great white burst, so blinding nothing could be seen for a split second! When sight was restored, there had been an ice explosion and there, standing statued in their positions were the soldiers all captured by ice! Frozen just as they were, like pieces of an elaborate garden showroom.
The crows continued to descend upon us, beaking at us savagely. It was a pesty annoyance, and when one targeted Queen Katerose, we knew those damn things had to be taken out! Yes, just before one was to swipe up Katerose, Domino lunged himself into her, toppling her to the safety of the snowground.
Of course, it goes without documenting – we were all fighting in our own rights. And although, I do not particularly recall every instance, just keep in mind that during this whole account, things are happening. People are dying, getting injured.
Queen Gabriella looked to the persisting bird attacks, and after a quick breath, she whispered something into Clint’s ruby red ear. Suddenly! Oh, LAWD! Suddenly, the horse sprouted massive wings! And took to the sky, Gabriella gripping his back! She dodged some attacks, and wielded her staff, shooting a laser of flame into the feathered fucks. They ignited and called one last dying cry before hastily dropping to death. She took out many of them.
Queen Carmeillia watched this with sudden enrage. Such sudden, gripping rage that without much warning, BOOM, she sprung into the massive Crow (much larger than the ones enslaved upon her) and with several strokes, she was in the air for her sister!

Up North, a great horn sliced the cold air. The doors parted, slowly the ice cracking, and there leading the march was Queen Carmiella, in her ice armor, but with black, giant feathers strung about like a necklace. Of course she wore her ice crown on her mane-hair which looked like the tropic snakes (known for their vibrant blue and yellow color—and known to be impeccably lethal). McCullolt trotted beside his Queen lover, and KiKeck joined behind him, mastering a carriage of ice. She barely grasped the reins, glazed look in her eye.
All the evil of the North marched behind their Royal like subjected slaves. Those Crows flew ahead, each of them with several feathers stained blue like their Queen! Most of the force donned black, deathly black. Queen Carmiellia grinned a tight-lipped sadistic one as she directed the overhead crows to the battlefield. The Queen called out a shriek so loud, so damaging, that the ice trees split down the middle. And with that shout, she charged. All behind her raced with her.
